Have a vision

It is important to have a vision of yourself. What do you want your life to look like in the future? Imagine it in the greatest detail possible. Where will you live? What will you be doing in your working hours and in your free time? What will you be eating on a regular basis? With whom will you spend your time? What resources will you have and how will you use them?

Over the past few years I've spent a great deal of time envisioning my life the way I want it to be. And that image is not static. It changes as my dreams and goals change. As I look around now and observe my surrounding and the life I live, I can see clearly that it is all a manifestation of my mind. The images I held in my mind have become the reality I live in. It wasn't magic. It was the power of the mind. I held wonderful visions in my mind until they insinuated themselves, or seeped into, my subconscious mind. Once they took root in my subconscious, I began unknowingly to make small adjustments to my every day decisions, which put me on the path to where I am now.

A few years ago I began seeing myself as an international actor, based in New York City. Today as I write this blog, I am an American/European citizen and my acting skills are known to several of the top agents and casting directors in town. I am working in theater and auditioning for television and film roles. Just one year ago I was teaching Junior High School in the countryside of Japan and I did not have dual American/European citizenship. The power of the mind, when mixed with action, can bring about remarkable change in one's life.
